Chain Link

Things to know about chain link fences.

The difference between residential, commercial and industrial grade link is the thickness of the post and wire.

When we say the thickness we are referring to the wall thickness not around the post. Many companies will give you a bigger round post light wall in thickness this does not help much; what you want is a heavy wall, preferably schedule 40 post and 9 gauge wire.

It is very important not only to get a good gauge but more important is hot dipped galvanized after weaving, this assures the wire has galvanize coating everywhere even where it is cut and twisted. A good chain link should last 25 to 30 years.
